BOTOX®, DYSPORT® + RESTYLANE®

now available:
SCULPTRA INJECTIONS

Sculptra is a new injectable treatment now available at HAUS North Loop. This injection service boosts your own natural collagen production to tighten, brighten and restore volume to your skin and face!

Sculptra is an injectable that is used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles to replace volume lost naturally over time. Instead of pumping the area with a filler like Restylane, Sculptra is unique in that the product itself stimulates collagen production. This allows the area injected to naturally renew itself over time. The biggest difference between Sculptra and a fIller like Restylane is that while you’ll feel fuller immediately after the injection due to the sterile water the product is delivered in, your true results won’t emerge until 3-6 months after your treatment once it’s worked to stimulate your own natural collagen. You're then left with natural looking fullness.

RESTYLANE KYSSE LIP REFRESH

Lips with natural-looking volume and Kysse-able softness. Restylane Kysse is the first lip filler designed with XpresHAn Technology™ for flexible movement and natural-looking volume proven to last for up to 1 year. Enhance texture and color of the lips while maintaining a full range of expressions.

Restylane Contour

As we age and lose volume in the midface, we also lose definition in the cheeks. Restylane Contour is the only cheek filler with XpresHAn Technology™ that restores your natural contour, frees dynamic expression, and refreshes your look. Balancing the science and art of aesthetics, this unique injectable hyaluronic acid gel creates natural-looking, subtly rejuvenated cheeks that are reminiscent of your younger self, but true to what makes you beautiful today.

Restylane Lyft

Help complete your aesthetic look with natural-looking volume in your cheeks and hands for a smoother, fuller appearance. Restylane® Lyft is a safe, effective and dissolvable HA filler.

BOTOX® + DYSPORT®

Wrinkles are simply unavoidable! Whenever there is movement in our faces – a laugh, smile or frown – the facial muscles contract. Over time, this results in the development of wrinkles. Treat those wrinkles with natural looking but noticeable results with Botox Cosmetic and Dysport. Both help smooth the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face. Untreated muscles still work normally, so you can continue to express feelings naturally. It’s the lines that are minimized, not your expressions.

  • VI PEELS

The VI Peel® is a skin-resurfacing chemical peel that stimulates collagen and increases cellular turnover to reveal smoother and more radiant skin. VI Peel helps treat all skin concerns such as aging skin, active acne, acne scarring, melasma, sun damage, and much more.

  • MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure for the treatment of wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scars. This service involves thousands of controlled microscopic needle incisions to the skin to stimulate the rebuilding of new collagen and elastin.

  • MEDSPA FACIALS

As the MedSpa Department head, this is Catherine’s signature service. If you are looking for options to restore your skin’s natural glow and keep it looking amazing, this is where you want to start. Includes full skin analysis and a personalized plan to achieve your skin goals.

A Minnesota native, Alex grew up in Edina and is excited to return to her home state after 11 years away. Alex has a Biology degree from Boston College and received a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Chicago, graduating with honors. While in Chicago, she earned her RNC-NIC title and honed her precision and expertise working as a NICU nurse caring for the tiniest of miracles. Alex is also a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) making her an expert in evaluating patient outcomes, assessing risk and developing care plans, all of which add to the detail and care she provides her clients now as a Nurse Injector.

Upon joining HAUS Salon, Alex has undergone extensive training while under the guidance of medical professionals who specialize in facial injections. Her knowledge of anatomy and facial structure partnered with her expertise in the medical field lends itself perfectly to crafting a naturally enhanced face. While working in the NICU, Alex developed skills in being delicately precise which has translated beautifully into perfected cosmetic procedures.

Alex will work with you to create a customized plan, ensuring every detail is attended to with the highest level of care. She enjoys using natural features to enhance inner beauty and would love to work with you towards any injection aspirations you may have.

Alex lives with her husband and puppy in Edina, where they enjoy spending time outdoors and discovering new restaurants in the area.

  • Schedule your filler appointment at least 4 weeks prior to a special event that you may be attending. Bruising and swelling may be apparent for up to two weeks after your treatment.

    • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.

    • If possible, avoid anti-inflammatory/blood-thinning medication for a period of 2 weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS thin the blood and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.

    • Discontinue Retin-A use 2 days before and 2 days after treatment.

    • If you do not feel well, have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area, please reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.

    • If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another outbreak of cold sores. Please let us know so you can be prescribed antiviral medication prior to treatment.

    • Avoid dental procedures (including cleaning) and vaccinations 4 weeks pre-treatment and post-treatment.

    • Be sure to have a solid meal, including food and drink, the morning before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.

    • Please arrive at the office with a clean face. NO makeup, tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, etc.

    • You may not receive treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

FAQs

  • Botox is a popular cosmetic injectable that helps to relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles that develop as we age. Botox is actually a brand name for the drug produced from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, other brands like Dysport and Xeomin produce a similar drug but Botox is the most widely known because it was the first cosmetic injectable on the market.

  • Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles in the treatment area, which temporarily paralyzes the muscles to prevent them from contracting. This softens and relaxes the muscles so that your skin appears smoother when you smile, frown, or make another expression.

  • When Botulinum toxin A is injected under the skin, it works on the neuromuscular junction, causing paralysis of the muscles in that area and smoothing of the overlying skin, resulting in a reduced appearance of the wrinkles.

Botox can improve the look of:
    • Frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines)
    • Crow’s feet lines
    • Forehead lines
    • Marionette lines
    • Facial asymmetry
    • Bunny lines
    • Perioral lines
    • Smile lines
    • Gummy smiles
    • Dimpled chins
    • Drooping eyelid
    • Jowls

You may receive treatment for frown lines, crow’s feet lines, and forehead lines at the same time.

  • During the consultation with your provider, you will discuss concerns, recommendations, and treatment plan. Your skin will be cleansed prior to the procedure. This is a non-surgical treatment and does not require anesthesia. During your treatment, Botox is injected into the desired areas with an ultra-thin needle that is minimally invasive and on the lowest spectrum of the pain scale.

  • Botox injections can be performed on average in about 15 – 20 minutes. The length of your treatment will vary based on time spent during your consultation and the number of injections performed.

  • The regular price of each unit of Botox is $14. Botox treatments are priced according to the number of units used during the procedure. The amount of Botox each patient will need differs based on the number of facial areas treated and the strength of each targeted facial muscle. Botox pricing may range (based on units used) from $75 to $400.

  • After receiving Botox injections, you will receive full post-treatment instructions from your provider based on the specific details of your treatment. We encourage patients to use the muscles more for the first hour or so after injection as this may help maximize the effects of the medication.

Please contact us immediately if you experience significant bruising, pain, or any other problems.

  • Restylane® can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years.

  • Restylane works by placing volume underneath your skin where you've lost collagen and other tissue. This helps smooth out and lift skin, making it look plumper. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane clings to your skin and the water in the acid provides volume.

  • Dermal fillers, like Restylane, are an effective treatment that can get rid of wrinkles and restore volume to delicate areas of the face. Currently at HAUS we are offering cheek and Lip Filler.

  • During the consultation with your provider, you will discuss concerns, recommendations, and treatment plan. Your skin will be cleansed prior to the procedure. If getting Lip Filler, numbing ointment will be applied. During your treatment, Restylane is injected into the desired areas with an ultra-thin needle that is minimally invasive and on the lowest spectrum of the pain scale. Depending on the formula used, most people expect Restylane to last several months up to a year or more.

  • Restylane is priced at $750 per syringe. Botox treatments are priced according to the number of syringes used during the procedure. The amount of Restylane each patient will need differs based on the number of facial areas treated and the clients desired results.

  • Botox injections can be performed on average in about 45 - 60 minutes. The length of your treatment will vary based on time spent during your consultation and the number of injections performed.

  • While some experience minor pain, many report barely feeling a thing. Injectables fall at a 1 on the pain scale on a pain scale of 1 to 5. (1 – least pain; 5 – most pain.) Some areas are known to be more sensitive such as the tip of your lips. Your Injector will review what to expect based on where you are being injected and if applicable will apply numbing cream.

  • There is minimal to no downtime. You may resume your daily activities or return to work after receiving treatment.

Mild redness or bruising may occur at injection sites. Redness will typically resolve within 30 minutes to one hour. Bruising may last for several weeks. Mild soreness may be present lasting hours to days. Severe reactions rarely occur, but a comprehensive review of your medical history, medications, history of reactions should be discussed with your provider to minimize that risk.

We do recommend a two-week minimum separation from special events to avoid the presence of bruising.

  • Botox will start to take effect in 5 to 7 days with full effects visible by day 14.

You can expect to see an improvement in your appearance immediately after your Restylane injections. Your final results will become apparent roughly two weeks after your injections are administered.

  • Botox results typically last approximately 2.5 to 4 months but may last shorter or longer. Over time, the effects will fade and you will notice muscle movement in the treatment area. Repeated treatments will be necessary for Botox to remain effective.

Restylane® may last anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on the formula and the area of the face. Fillers in more mobile areas like the lips have a thin, flexible texture and do not last as long as more dense fillers such as cheek and wrinkle fillers.

  • Contraindications refer to conditions that indicate an individual should not take a medical treatment. Do not receive a Injections if you:

    • Are allergic to any of the ingredients in Botox

    • Had an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin product such as Myobloc, Dysport, or Xeomin

    • Have a skin infection at the planned injection site

    • are pregnant or nursing

    • Have autoimmune disorders (discuss with your provider)

    • Have a disease that affects your muscles and nerves (such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease], myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome)

  • After receiving Restylane injections, you will receive full post-treatment instructions from your provider based on the specific details of your treatment.

    • Use cold compresses to reduce swelling.

    • Avoid touching the treated area for the first six hours following treatment, so you do not accidentally injure your skin while the area is numb. After six hours, the area can be gently washed with soap and water.

    • Avoid exposure to intense heat (sun lamp or sunbathing) or cold.

    • Avoid taking aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen), St John's wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements for one week after treatment. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

    • After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips.

Please contact us immediately if you experience significant bruising, pain, or any other problems.

  • Your injectable service must be the last appointment you receive when scheduling other services on the same day. This ensures proper aftercare is followed which includes staying upright. We require 24 hours between your injectable service and any service that addresses the same areas of the face that have been injected.
