    The treatment feels like a series of warm pulses or pinpricks. Topical anesthetic is not usually needed but may be offered—please inform your provider of any known sensitivities.

    • Less than 18 years of age 

    • Open lesion or cold sore - those who have a history of cold sores may want to take an antiviral medication prior to treatment

    • An active infection in the treatment area or skin conditions such as dermatitis,  rash, or active sunburn

    • Skin related autoimmune disease such as Lupus or Scleroderma 

    • A viral concern such as HIV or hepatitis

    • Medical conditions that alter the wound response such as Diabetes, Cancer, and autoimmune disorders

    • Melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy

    • Pregnancy or lactation

    • Use of Accutane in the last 6 months

    • Recent Ablative Dermal Procedures

    • Use of Botox, aesthetic fillers, injectables, and/or laser treatments in the same treatment areas within 2 weeks before BBL  service
