With an expert eye for tone, Marlee enjoys working with your natural base as the “backdrop” for your color. She’s a technical savant when it comes to the chemistry of hair and believes in color that could exist in nature. She strategically places dimension throughout the hair in order to achieve maximum results. She’s highly skilled with dimensional color and uses it to create lived-in looks without over-coloring.
Marlee enjoys creating beautiful blondes but believes in an extended approach that keeps your hair as healthy as possible. Whether a foil or balayage, she will work with you over time in order to create the blonde of your dreams. She's also skilled in working with gray or white hair to recreate your original hair color. She will formulate a complementary shade as your hair and skin changes over time.
Marlee balances her enthusiasm for creating naturally wearable color for her clients with a passion for educating herself on upcoming trends. Marlee has honed her craft by completing courses in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago with industry icons and is constantly charged with new ideas to bring to her clientele.
A third-generation stylist, Marlee virtually grew up in a salon environment, where she says she feels most at home. She serves as Color Director in the South Minneapolis salon and an educator in our color apprentice program.
