Your Perfect Saturday in North Loop

Big news: HAUS North Loop is officially open on Saturdays. Starting September 12th, you can book Lincoln or Gigi for cuts, Evans, Kenzie, Ellie, or Lou for color, and Mary or Maritza for your skin needs, every Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

We put together a little guide to the neighborhood. North Loop has some of the best brunch, shopping, and food in the city, all within a short walk of the salon.

Here's how we'd spend the day.

Start with Movement

Before your appointment, North Loop has a couple of solid options if you want to move your body first.

CorePower Yoga - Close by and reliable if you want a sweaty vinyasa flow before getting your hair done. Great for burning off the week before you settle into the chair.

barre3 - If yoga's not your thing, barre3 is a lower-impact option that still leaves you feeling like you did something. A nice way to ease into a Saturday without wrecking your whole day.

Then, Head Into HAUS

This is the part of the day everything else is built around. Grab your spot with Lincoln or Gigi for a cut, or Evans, Kenzie, Ellie, or Lou if you're due for color, Maritza or Mary for your skin care needs, and let the rest of your Saturday fall into place around it.

Grab Brunch

North Loop takes brunch seriously, so book ahead if you can.

Hope Breakfast Bar - Their North Loop Green location gets busy for a reason. The cake batter pancakes are the move if you have a sweet tooth, and the space itself feels bright and easy.

Spoon and Stable - If you want something a little more special, Spoon and Stable's Sunday brunch has a following for good reason (the crème brûlée French toast alone is worth the reservation).

Shop the Neighborhood

This is really what North Loop is known for. A few favorites:

PARC - A small, well-curated women's boutique with an eye for independent designers. Good if you want something that doesn't feel like everyone else already owns it.

The Foundry - A home goods shop with a nice mix of simple, well-designed pieces. Good if shopping for yourself means shopping for your apartment instead.

If you've got extra time, Puttshack is a fun, low-key detour for indoor mini golf with a drink in hand.

Lunch

Red Rabbit - Rustic Italian in a casual setting, good for splitting plates with a friend after a morning of shopping.

112 Eatery - A neighborhood classic from chef Isaac Becker, good for a slightly more elevated lunch without the fuss of a dinner reservation.

For Dinner

Monte Carlo - A Minneapolis institution since 1906. Great for wings, a classic cocktail, and people-watching at the copper-top bar.

Porzana - If you're in the mood for steak and a livelier scene, Porzana is one of the North Loop's go-to date-night spots.
