MEET ANJA

Why did you pursue a career behind the chair?

Hair had been a background interest for a long time, and after graduating from college, I really wanted to do something more fun and creative. This led to me starting at Aveda about a month later! From there, I found that cutting hair and connecting with people in my chair really clicked for me!

What are your favorite haircuts to create?

Tough question! It changes, but lately, razored shags and barbered cuts have been really fun!

Where are you from and what is your favorite thing to do there?

I grew up right here in the Twin Cities! I always love to explore local attractions, like the MOA, State Fair, Science Museum, and any other fun activity!

What topics or hobbies would you love to connect with your clients over?

I always love to talk about travel, ballroom and Latin dance, music, and what books we’re reading!

What is your favorite thing to do outside of the salon?

Doing game nights with friends is my number one fave! Sometimes, we play Dungeons and Dragons, and sometimes it’s classics like Catchphrase or Texas Hold ‘Em. We like the variety!

What's a fun fact about yourself?

I’ve seen Pearl Jam live five times and counting!
