HAUS and Blowdry hosted BLOWOUT CLASS FUNDRAISERs AT BLOWDRY! BLOWDRY BAR and HAUS Salon FOR the American Refugee Committee

On a Sunday in January and again in March, a team from HAUS Salon and Blowdry! Blowdry Bar taught some lucky ladies the art of the at-home blowout at Blowdry! Blowdry Bar in Uptown Minneapolis and HAUS in the North Loop. Armed with their own hair dryers, brushes, and favorite products, we taught them the products to use, drying techniques, round-brushing and creating perfect curls, all in exchange for a donation to our project with the American Refugee Committee. It was a fun way to raise some funds for a worthy cause AND to help some willing students learn ways to create beautiful hair at home.

HAUS SALON HOSTED A SALON-A-THON FUNDRAISER FOR THAILAND

Clients enjoyed haircuts, hair color, blowouts, facials, massage and waxing services from a team of HAUS Salon and Blowdry! Blowdry Bar artists at our Salon-a-Thon fundraiser at HAUS Salon North Loop on February 12th. The entire dollar amount (plus tips!) for all Salon-a-Thon services were donated to the American Refugee Committee for our Thailand fundraiser. It was the perfect Sunday Funday for a worthy cause.

Our special guest at the Salon-a-Thon was Kay Thi (far right) who was our translator at Nu Po refugee camp in Thailand last Spring for our trip with the ARC. Kay Thi has since settled in St. Paul, joining her husband and daughter who had been here for 5years.

Continue helping the American Refugee Committee with this incredibly useful program.
